Talented students at Corby’s Lodge Park Academy awarded with exclusive art scholarship
A number of talented students at Corby’s Lodge Park Academy, part of the David Ross Education Trust, have been awarded with an exclusive scholarship for Creative Arts.
Ten students from Years 10 and 12 are amongst the recipients of the prestigious Jigsaw Art Scholarship, which is generously funded as part of an exclusive partnership with the David Ross Education Trust and founder of the Jigsaw clothing range, John Robinson.
Any Lodge Park Academy student in Years 10 and 12 can apply for a grant of £200 to help them pursue their creative ambitions. Many students use these funds to purchase equipment and cover travel expenses for any art-based trips or workshops.
As part of the Jigsaw Scholarship, successful applications also have the exclusive opportunity to visit Jigsaw’s offices and further explore the world of art, design and fashion.
Abbie Owen, Head of Art at Lodge Park Academy, said: “I am extremely proud of our scholars and their enthusiasm for the Creative Arts. They have been fantastic role models for their peers within the academy and have helped to promote our ethos across the Trust and the wider community.
“We are hugely grateful to the David Ross Education Trust and Jigsaw Clothing for allowing us to offer this incredible scholarship opportunity to our students.”
