Lodge Park Academy

Lodge Park Academy understands the importance of a strong academic foundation. Our academy offers a diverse curriculum and enrichment offering to create well-rounded and confident students.

Thank you for visiting our website. In this section you can find out all about how to apply for a place at Lodge Park Academy for September 2021. At the current time, Lodge Park Academy has the Ofsted category of ‘Special Measures’. We recognise that parents will be reluctant to send their child to a school that has been labelled in the past as having significant weaknesses. However, we want to reassure you that Lodge Park Academy has been completely transformed. When we are next inspected (which is now likely to be in 2021 due to the Coronavirus) we are hoping to be validated as a ‘good’ or better school.

In this section of our website, which will be updated regularly, you can learn about how we support all our young people to achieve their very best. We are very ambitious for our students; we challenge them to reach their academic, creative, personal and sporting best. Our school boasts impeccable behaviour and disruption-free lessons. Our school is a safe place where any bullying is dealt with swiftly and firmly.  Our school is a caring, protective and warm place – we are a family.

We hope you will consider the LPA family for your child. If you have reservations, please come to our virtual open evening on Monday 5th October or call us to book a place on one of our tea time tours on Tuesday 6th to Friday 9th October. We are happy to answer any questions you have. We are confident we can match the best schools in Corby, Kettering and surrounding towns and we are looking forward to having that confidence rubber-stamped by Ofsted in the near future.

The County Council organises admissions for students who are moving from year six into year seven.

Parents or Carers who are seeking a school place for their child during the academic year, or for students who will be in year 8 or above in September of any academic year, must contact the Local Authority who coordinate these admissions.

The phone number for Northamptonshire County Council is now 0300 126 1000 (there will then be an option for choosing School Admissions). Or click this link.

Parents can also email any enquiries to

The County Council website also provides options for completing on-line admission forms for both normal and mid-year admissions.

Admissions for years 12 and  13 are organised by the academy and any enquiries should be made via main reception to the Sixth Form Administrator.

We do not require parents to complete a supplementary application form as some other schools do, nor do we ask students to complete an ability test in order to gain a place. We believe that all children, regardless of prior attainment or ability, can succeed at Lodge Park Academy and everyone is welcome. We also have a superb track record supporting students with EHCPs and medical needs. If your child has an EHCP, a special educational need or a medical need, please contact our SENCO Mr Storey for more information about September 2021 entry for your child and how we will support them to flourish.

Arrangements for Appeals Panels

Parents will have the right of appeal to an Independent Appeal Panel if they are dissatisfied with an admission decision of Lodge Park Academy.

The Appeal Panel will be independent of the Academy. The arrangements for Appeals will be in line with the Code of Practice on School Admission Appeals published by the Department for Education. The determination of the Appeal Panel will be made in accordance with the Code of Practice on School Admission Appeals and is binding on all parties. The Academy will prepare guidance for parents about how the appeals process will work and will provide parents with a named contact who can answer any questions parents may have about the process.
