Admissions
In this section you can find out all about how to apply for a place at Lodge Park Academy.
We are very ambitious for our students; we challenge them to reach their academic, creative, personal and sporting best. Our school boasts impeccable behaviour and disruption-free lessons. Our school is a safe place where any bullying is dealt with swiftly and firmly. Our school is a caring, protective and warm place – we are a family.
We hope you will consider the LPA family for your child. Admissions for September 2024 are now open. Please contact the admissions team at North Northamptonshire Council or see below. North Northamptonshire Council also co-ordinate all in-year admissions.
We are confident we can match the best schools in Corby, Kettering and surrounding towns and we are delighted that Ofsted have now confirmed that we are GOOD for leadership and Management, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development and Sixth Form. We remain 'Requires Improvement' overall, because we have areas to develop in our curriculum, but we are determined to keep moving onwards and upwards.
Year 6 Open Evening
Dear parents and carers of Year 6 students at (school)
We warmly invite you to attend Lodge Park Academy’s Open Evening on Wednesday 4th October, 2023, 5-8pm. We believe Lodge Park Academy is an exceptional school with an excellent academic and personal development offer, and we would love to talk to you about why our school is the right choice for your child.
After experiencing some turbulent times in the past decade, we are very proud that Lodge Park Academy now has Ofsted judgements of GOOD for Behaviour & Attitudes, Leadership & Management, Personal Development and Sixth Form (July 2021). Since our last Ofsted inspection, the curriculum has been refined and improved and we have celebrated an impressive first set of exam results post-covid, so are looking forward to Ofsted’s next visit when we can prove we are ‘outstanding’.
As part of your evening, you will hear a talk and have a tour of the school. On the tour you will be able to speak to our students and staff, see our facilities and look at our students’ work. Please put aside an hour and a half for the visit.
Places at Lodge Park Academy are in high demand so we are expecting many visitors on the 4th, for this reason, please park in the Lodge Park Sports Centre car park, not on Shetland Way, and aim to arrive from 4.30pm for a 5pm start.
We look forward to welcoming you.
Warm wishes
From all the team at Lodge Park Academy

How to Apply for a Year 7 Place for September 2024
The easiest and quickest way to apply is online at: www.northnorthants.gov.uk/admissions.
Applications open on 9th September 2023. The closing date for applications is midnight on Tuesday 31st October 2023. National Offer Day is 1st March 2024.
We do not require parents to complete a supplementary application form as some other schools do, nor do we ask students to complete an ability test in order to gain a place. We believe that all children, regardless of prior attainment or ability, can succeed at Lodge Park Academy and everyone is welcome. We also have a superb track record supporting students with EHCPs and medical needs. If your child has an EHCP, a special educational need or a medical need, please contact our SENCO Mr Storey for more information about September 2023 entry for your child and how we will support them to flourish.
In Year Admissions
In-year admissions applications should be made via North Northamptonshire Council. We will accept admissions up to the Published Admission Number of the respective year group at the point of entry. In the event that this would cause prejudice to the provision of efficient education or the efficient use of resources it may be necessary to refuse a place although the year group has not reached the school's published admission number. If there are more applications than places then the oversubscription criteria will be used to decide who should be offered the place. If it is necessary to refuse a place then you will be informed of your right of appeal.
Parents will have the right of appeal to an Independent Appeal Panel if they are dissatisfied with an admission decision of Lodge Park Academy.
The Appeal Panel will be independent of the Academy. The arrangements for Appeals will be in line with the Code of Practice on School Admission Appeals published by the Department for Education. The determination of the Appeal Panel will be made in accordance with the Code of Practice on School Admission Appeals and is binding on all parties. The Academy will prepare guidance for parents about how the appeals process will work and will provide parents with a named contact who can answer any questions parents may have about the process.
