LODGE PARK ACADEMY MARKS GCSE RESULTS DAY
Students at Lodge Park Academy are today receiving their long-awaited GCSE results, having missed months of schools, and the cancellation of exams due to Covid-19.
But their hard work in the run up to lockdown has not been in vain. Following the Government’s announcement on Monday 17 August, the grades that academies submitted for each student have now been awarded. Today they have received grades which reflect the effort they put in over the course of their time in education.
This is an excellent set of outcomes for our Y11 students. They have worked very hard during their time in school and it has been a difficult few months with the uncertainty surrounding their results because of the pandemic. I am so glad they have been awarded the grades we feel they deserve. As a rapidly improving school their achievements should be recognised.

We are incredibly proud of the way our Year 11 have navigated these tricky times and we’re so pleased they have been given grades that reflect their efforts. Huge thanks must go to the parents and carers, the teachers and the school staff who have worked so hard to support Year 11. We are particularly pleased that all students are taking their chosen next steps and that so many have chosen to stay with us to study A Levels and Level 3 Vocational Subjects.
Part of the David Ross Education Trust, staff and teachers at Lodge Park Academy have worked extremely hard to make sure that the grading for every student is as fair as possible, and allows students to take their next step – whether that is continuing with their education, or moving into employment or training.
