STATEMENT REGARDING COVID 19 FROM MRS WATERMAN, PRINCIPAL

On only the second occasion so far this academic year, a student from Lodge Park Academy has been tested positive for COVID 19. The student, a Year 11, was already self-isolating due to a case in his household and at the time of the positive result had not been in school for seven days. As a result, no students or staff from Lodge Park Academy need to self-isolate and the school remains fully open for all students as normal.

We are lucky that we have only had two cases so far this year. The measures we have in place at school to ensure the virus is not passed on appear to be working well. We are pleased that on this second occasion of a positive case amongst our students, no-one else has had to self-isolate.
